Had my bi-weekly one on one with my boss today. We usually end up talking about random stuff during it since he's cool. Today I learned that his dad owns an early 90s NSX. The guy daily drives it, even has snow tires for it. The car has over 100k miles on it. Sounds like an awesome guy.

Hmm... Somewhat close to me. Could make a good video. Let me know if you have more info (sorry to hijack, but that's cool).

Somewhat related, I was driving to the waterfront in Tiburon, CA (just across the golden gate bridge near SF) this past Sunday and was looking for a parking spot..when I saw a first gen NSX that had just parked...an older gentleman, probably in his 80s got out of it and proceeded to cover it up with a car cover (this was just in a public parking spot). The car was in pristine condition and you could tell why, given the amount of care he put in to it. I wanted to stop in the middle of the road and go give him a hug right there.
I told my girlfriend I want to be just like that guy when I get older...and she goes "I approve, that car looks fun and isn't douchey at all like all the other rich old show-offs around here".

I want to love the NSX - I really do. But the body style hasn't aged well - especially pre-face lift. And women aren't impressed when you tell them you drive a Honda, even if it is a really nice Honda. And they didn't depreciate much, so for the same price you could get, say, a Porsche 911/964/996, or a C6 Corvette, or possibly even a Lotus Elise. So if I was looking for a car, it would definitely be on my list, but I doubt I will ever own one due to others appreciating it more than me, which is probably for the best...
